Place UK have been harvesting forced rhubarb as the first crop of the year, with Timperley rhubarb, strawberries, blackberries and raspberries to follow. Forced rhubarb begins its’ life outdoors and is then moved inside to dark, cold conditions to force growth. The end result is rhubarb, which is a lovely shade between pink and red, and a sweet flavour.
